Architectural Review

Architectural guidelines and requirements for the construction and remodeling of structures on owners’ lots are contained in the Architectural Standards, Declaration of Covenants, Restrictions, Easements, Charges and Liens for Bear Creek, A Conejos County Subdivision (Declaration of Covenants) and in the Architectural Standards.

All new construction and exterior remodeling must conform to the Declaration of Covenants and may not be commenced without submission of plans to the Architectural Review Committee and the receipt of written approval.

A lot owner planning construction or remodeling must submit to the Architectural Review Committee the following Owner’s Submission Form for Architectural Review and Approval.

"A lot owner planning construction or remodeling must submit to the Architectural Review Committee the following Owner’s Submission Form for Architectural Review and Approval. Minor construction, such as construction of a generator enclosure may often use the "short form" for submission (with permission from the ARC)."

Posting. The Architectural Review Committee posts notices of a lot owner’s plans for new construction or remodeling/additions on the affected lot.  In addition, the Architectural Review Committee will post such notices on this Architectural Review page of the Bear Creek website.
